Dusty always has been my favourite alias of Ennio Zanini. The Dusty songs seem more emotional than those of Fastway. Although I’d say Fastway is the better match for Go2 where Ace often sings the emotional parts. Stop & Go is my favourite Dusty song, so I had to do this one.

The lyrics of this song describe my juvenile rebellion against society. I wrote it when I was 16 years old. I don’t mean juvenile in any negative sense here, quite the opposite. I think this phase of rebellion most people have at a certain age is a short moment of seeing truth which most people lose afterwards because they develop the necessary wrong consciousness.
Musically I have three different arrangements for this song. This is based on the very first one I made. I had that musical idea and made a simple beat with only drums, bassline, pads, and melody. Somehow I always liked the mood of this one more than the more complex arrangements I made later and then I realised if instead of adding instruments I just add many many voice tracks this would sound awesome.
The end is a reference to My Singing Monsters.

I had the Game Boy version of the Duck Tales game and loved it. Of course it includes the Moon theme, I even extended it. 😉

As I didn’t have many views on my rehearsals I thought about something else I could do which is probably more interesting because it’s more creative and unique.
As I own an original Roland MT-32 (first gen) I thought it may be a nice idea to recreate music from old console games on the MT-32 like if they were old PC games.
Depending on the size of the overall soundtrack of a game I will either make the full soundtrack in a video or just one song or a selection of songs.

This is my first acoustic cover of a non-canonical Eurobeat song (with which I mean it’s not in the AVEX catalogue). Of course I could have chosen the Initial D hype song The Top. But I don’t like that song. I really learned to appreciate Travis’ works when I discovered his songs he made outside of that AVEX canon. The difference is, the AVEX songs are just generic Eurobeat songs with Travis’ vocals on them, but in his other works he really displays his musical intelligence and brings something unique into Eurobeat which is also my approach (although we have completely different styles and that’s great). This song, Discord, is a great example of his musical intelligence because the whole arrangement is built to show Discord’s weird character.
That’s why I will never understand the hype for the remix by The Living Tombstone with its rather generic arrangement which totally misses the point of the song (I wasn’t surprised to hear that he doesn’t like his remix of the song himself anymore).
I know there are already some acoustic covers of this song but none of those I heard have adapted the arrangement on the guitar.
I’ll probably make a how-to-play tutorial for this one soon.

Some time ago already I had the idea to make a double cover version of this song: one Eurobeat cover of the original by the Abba singer Frida and a Hypertechno cover of the version by Boomfunk MCs. Today I release the Eurobeat version. The Hypertechno version is also mostly done but it still needs female vocals for the chorus and I haven’t found a singer yet. I hope to find one soon so I can deliver the other version as well.
I also included a loop of Phil Collins’ drumming but with lots of FX on it and later the same rhythms is being repeated by tablas.
